Default Backfiring??

Ok so my GT is brand new and I am just wondering if this is a common issue..When I start her up after she has been sitting for a while, when I rev past 2500, the car will make a popping noise, sounds like it's backfiring. I just installed Pypes Axel backs and noticed it is louder now than with the stocks. I am a newb so please tell me this is normal. thanks.

Mine does the same thing, just received my 07 Red stick last week and has not gone away. I like it though. Reminds me of my old 85 GT with the holly carb.

Yeah its completely normal its because when your engine first turns on after a good nights rest. she runs rich in fuel the first minute or two. afterwards she calms done. I really love that sound i have the flowmasters. and in any parking structure i turn my car on rev it up to 3 slowly let off and you hear POP pop. then the car alarms next to me go off! haha I LOVE v8`s

its normal...nothing to worry about...and that noise will only get louder and meaner as your aftermarket exhaust gets worked in...

I got the Corsa axle-back and that noise happens all the time, especially if i bounce her off the rev-limited...its such a mean noise...

intimidates alot of ppl if they get in your car for the first time and you start it up if its been sitting for a while haha...

love the sounds of the stang V8s

...It makes the popping sound when you first start it up after a while cause the mufflers are cold and the air going through is hot and that mix makes the popping sounds...
