SuperCharged less the Intercooler...
Any of you s/c guys running intercooler"less".
It sure adds alot of cost to the already expensive Supercharger. I can probably be satisfied with the 20-30hp less but dont really understand if there are any other negatives to not including a cooler.
Appreciate any founded feedback.

There is a significant negative. Higher air temp going into the cylinder means its more prone to detonation. Engine go boom! Maybe if you only put in 93 octane and tune it for 91. That'll give you SOME of a protective cushion to replacing the engine too soon.
Jeff,
+1 to the air temp/detonation issue....
As I mentioned in my email to you... get the cooler... on a vortech its more like 40-50hp difference and about $995 + 200-300 labor more... so hp/$ is worth it IMO. And it'll cost you more to add it later..

Guess I should chime in. I'm running Intercoolerless. Powerdyne doesn't make them. Of course, I'm not running the 450+ that other blowers are pushing. I'm pretty contempt with my 400rwhp.

Same here,I'm happy with my 420rwhp without theintercooler. Depends on how much power you what, money you want to spend, and the use of your vehicle. The 420 rwhp does pretty good for me on the street. Thats my opinion.
