no danger here. This is 9psi of turbo boost. A/F ratio at 11.2. 9psi of turbo boost is alot less stressful than 9lbs of boost from a S/C.
Tune is everthing on these motors. This car was tuned for over a week and half, with the Owner of Sniper Tuning (helped Diablo and SCT tuning companies get off the ground) doing the tuning along with one of the best shop owners that I have dealt with . The problem is there are alot of shop owners etc that really don't know what there doing with tuning these 3V motors.
We could of pulled 50-60 more hp out of the 9psi if we wanted but we are being very safe!
There are tons of guys claiming 450-480rwhp on these motor's, those are the guys who need to worry. My 392 @5100rpm is nothing to worry about!!! Thanks for the concern!!

Yes you will enjoy your car!! Good luck. If your going with Hellion, you can't go below the 9psi with there set up on the 62mm turbo, we have already asked!!

brenspeed sells the hellion turbo kit with springs for 5psi. So I guess you can go below 9psi, no?

Im going with STS Turbo. I talked witha guy there for a long time and he said safely you could run 7psi on a stock motor. anything over 7 would be too much stress on the pistons and rods. My car isnt dyno'd yet but they have a dyno on a 05 GT and it was at 6.5PSI and did 407 RWHP. this is also at about 4,700ft. (utah)

sorry to get off topic

Well I am sure every tech/shop will have there opinion. I feel good with my shop and owner and having the owner of sniper working on my car. I feel 9psi is safe.
As for the STS setup, I almost went with it. I think there cool, but as I looked into just decided it wasn't for me. Good luck and have fun.

Did they use a mustang dyno or dyno jet to get that number at 6.5 psi?

squeeze another 8hp out of it and get 400HORS.

that sounds kinda like you're a serious "john" who's aiming to get into the Guiness Book of Records as a world-record *****-meister........
