Default x-pipe/cats question

how hard would it be to add hi-flow cats to an x-pipe that doesn't have them?

i'm specifically looking at the dynatech supermaxx long tubes. i found a used set that has the x-pipe without cats, but i have to run cats in my area... wondering if its worth the hassle

thanks for any opinions/advice

Hmmm. each component is designed the way they come. To add a cat on a non cat X-Pipe is a big gamble. They do exhaust flow tests measuring tourque, temperature, ect.ect. before they deside exactly where to put the cats for best performance. I wouldnt do it. Slap the original H-pipe back on....

if you are ok with chopping up your x-pipe, you shouldnt really have too much of a problem installing a set of hi-flow cats. Best idea would be to cut and weld but I'm sure you can get some clamp in ones. Better yet, just order a set of hi-flow cats and take it to Midas. Or someone like that.
