New GT...now what?
Alright, I finally got an '07 manual GT coupe. Time to start blowing money, right?
Someday I'd like to get some TBD FI so I can get some impressive time slips, but for now its just going to be a daily driver.
It seems that a good place to start would be CAI, gears, and suspension. The CAI, I can handle, but my question is, what's the easiest way to get gears and suspension without causing any hassles for myself regarding the warranty? I know, I know, they probably can't actually void my warranty but I'd rather just avoid the headache if something happens.
Am I going to get screwed if I just go to the dealer? Is there any chance I could convince them to put aftermarket suspension stuff on it or are they going to stick me with the FRPP stuff? Is that a bad thing?
Thanks in advance.

boy o boy your about to get cooked....think flame retardent suit real quick. I would poke around here and read some of the stickys before asking anymore questions and use the search function..it will save you some grief.
Just for fun, you may want to look at the warranty guide
booklet under section:
Damage Caused by Alteration or Modification (june 2005 issue, page 8)
Use your own good judgment, on whether you should proceed or not.

Warranty is just an argument waiting to happen - you bought the car and now you have to decide what you want out of it. Technically they could void your warranty for any modification thats changing the factory standard. Even after talking to multiple dealers it really comes down to the dealer itself. One could over look while another wont give you the time of day. Your just going to have to take a chance and thats what having one of these cars is all about. Now if your ready to start dumpin the cash I like to start with - Tinted Windows, CAI, Exhaust, Gears & Shifter - as far as headers go thats all speculation. I had the FRPP Shorty Headers put on but if I had to do it over I would have waited till I really felt like blowing $600 [:@]or not at all.
So I probably shouldn't have wasted my money an extended warranty if I want to have any fun at all?
If I decide to throw away the extended warranty, does anybody know if I can get a full refund if I do it before the factory one runs out? Sounds like I have some fine print to wade through.
Thanks for the feedback.

it is my understanding that yes, you can get
a partial refund when you cancel your extended
warranty early.
i waited a year and then decided to throw the
3/36 warranty, into the garbage can. you have to decide
what is best for you.
