Default Best Long Tubes. . . Experience only please

I am about the purchase long tube headers, plus an off road X pipe for them . . .

Does anyone have a preference on what to buy, i want the best hp gain for the money, does anyone have dyno results from adding Longtubes

any help would be appreciated. . . I'm thinking the dynomaxx longtubes with the off road X for $850 on RPM. . . that seems to be the best deal, and they have posted 24 rwhp and 33 trq gains from it. . . thats pretty good. . .

anyone else have any suggestions???

Do yourself a favor and forget you ever heard about rpm outlet. You won't find anyone saying good things about them. Sorry I can't help much on the long tubes because I don't have any... but you get what you pay for. I have HEARD that Kooks and DynaTech (sp?) are good, but is just what I have read from these forums.

i love my JBA's...the system mounted perfectly...downside is that they are a little more expensive and i had to purchase motor mounts to keep them from hitting the frame. they sound really mean though...

The best LT's IMO, because everyone will have a different opinion here, are the American Racing Headers. They are 304 stainless, as opposed to the JBA's, Hookers, Dynatech, and Kooks which are 409 Stainless. there is less ferrous (sp) metal in the ARH headers which causes them not to rust like the others.

I personally have the JBA Titanium Cermaic Coated because they are the longest ones on the market.

I would recommend those or the ARH for the reasons stated.

I thought dynatech, Stainless works, andkooks were all 304 stainless? I do know of one person who had a catted dynatech setup. One of his cats came apart internally and popped his motor. But everything else I've heard about dynatech has been good.

false information
actually, only the JBAs are 409, the others are all 304 my friend
409 is a cheaper grade of steel
