Default Shorty Header Question

Im either thinking of going with Ford Racing or BBK shorty headers. But the BBK's are tuned and the Ford Racings are not. My question is what does it mean when it says tuned and how much better is it? ( I WANT NO IMPUTS ON LONGTUBES PLEASE )

Have you put any thought into an intake and tune? Those will be much more affective than headers.

From wikipedia...

In a set of tuned headers the pipe lengths are carefully calculated to enhance exhaust flow in a particular engine revolutions per minute range.

You might want to add JBA to the list of choices, quite a few of us are running with them. I know I'm happy with mine....

Hi Mustang3GT07,

I'm running JBA Ti ceramic coated shortys with aMagnaFlow Tru-X Pipe with high-flow OBDII compliant cats and FRPP M-5230 GTA mufflersas onShelby GT's and Hertz GT-H's. I'dlook into JBA shorty headers because they are the only true equal length shorty headers for the 3-valve motor, they are proven to work and are CARB certified with an E.O. number meaning they are legal equipment here in California. The combination of the JBA shortys and MagnaFlow Tru-X Pipe with high-flow cats is nearly a match for a set of long tubes and an O/R H pipe. The rear mufflers are just for sound as far as I can tell but my engine is staying N/A so for a blower engine who knows?I had a set of MagnaPack cat backs on the car for a weekbutmy wife said they were too loud so off they came! Now I have a set of MagnaPack cat backs with a weeks usesittingin my garageall boxed up and ready to ship.

Cheers!
