I have a 2006 gt witha jlt and xcal2 canned tune and Im finally looking into getting a real tune by doug at bamachips. My question is I felt a big seat of the pants difference in my gt when I installed the intake and canned tune.... will i feel another noticable difference if I buy a race tune or is it not that noticable. Also what does everyone suggest the best tune is for going fast all the time and lastly does everyone use thier tunes all the time ex leave thier race tune in when not racing and just daily driving

its about 2-3 tenths at the track, not an amazing difference, but you know its different.

you will feel the difference. I know another guy in Frederick who put the intake, 3.73 gears, and a B ama race tune and his auto chirps tires. Its more what Doug does to how the car shifts rather than the actual performance mod itself. It will really help of course if you combine the intake with the B ama tune. But, the car will just shift MUCH harder...

If youre an auto, the race might be more suited for the track. I have a stick, and with decent let-off around a corner, my rear slides, not feathering, but not a hard let out...Im also on 315 drags...
