If the fuel tanks in the 05 GT's are linear?

In other words, does the rate at which the fuel guage drops change throughout the range of fuel left?

I am curious because my fuel gauge says I used 1/8 tank of gas in 27 miles, and I was driving slow and in a suburban area.

Man that guage is messed up! lol

 

variations in temperature and other atmospheric conditions can affect this. also, the gauge is not the word of god, not perfectly accurate, plus, fuel sloshes around.
