Going to make you all jealous

RE: Going to make you all jealous
what stroke are you going with? What clearance?
If you go with a 302 and your clearance isn't uber tight, you are going to lose your knock sensors and that is NOT a good thing, trust me.

haha its my new forged internals. pistons, rods, crank, etc... rated at 850-1500HP.
So what this means is with my turbo and this rotating assembly i'll be putting out around 550rwhp when im done @ 15lbs. I could also go higher than that but I want to see what my stang will do with 550rwhp

clearance for the pistons is .0040

Just in my opinion, the knock sensors are VERY important. I want the car to be able to pull timing when any pinging or knock occurs that I may not notice. Especially when you are running around on pump gas.
The reason you are going to lose the knock sensors with a clearance over a .0032 is because the higher clearance will give you some slap. Garunteed you are going to hear some slap with your set-up. That 'slap' is why you have to lose the knock sensors because the sensors confuse the slap with 'knock'. Not that it's a bad thing, 90% of the stroker kits slap. I personally just like to have no slap on my motor for longevitiy. Anyone that tells you that "all strokers slap'" is an engine 'assembler' and not an engine 'builder'. The clearance, balancing, and assembly determine the slap.
Again, not trying to 'scare' you - just give you some info.
