Default missing second with hurst?

I know what you guys are thinking (all you have to do is go straight down to second), but I've missed second more than once now that I've had the hurst and its getting frustrating. When I had the stock shifter I could slam it back into second and I never missed. I don't think its my timing with the clutch because I can nail the 2-3 shift everytime without a problem. The 2-3 shift is a lot better than stock and I haven't missed yet with the hurst. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

It might be you just need a little bit to get used to the new shifter. Or you may have some loose bolts thats making it loose, so i would double check your bolts to make sure they are tight. Other than that i dunno, i have no problems with mine.

I have a pro 5.0 (I know different animal) but mine was tough to get to second at first. It needed some time to break in. Heck at first it was tough getting into first! Now it seems much improved and I imagine the issue will be gone with a little more brake in. Maybe thats the case with the Hurst?

I am also putting on the k-member and torq limiters soon also. I would think that will help some too.

I'm going to get under my car tomorrow and check all the bolts. Let me know how the k-member and torque limiters worksout for youhowarmat. I was thinking about new motor mounts, but the install on the k member and torque limiters will be a lot easier. I'm debating if I should make that my next mod.
