Default Interior Speakers

Looking to replace all my interior speakers. I was either thinking Memphis or Mtx. Another other brands you guys would reccomend and why. I was something with really good bass. How hard is it to install all new speakers? Thanks Guys

Theres a few threads about this in the audio help section. I went with Infinity Kappa 6x8s in both doors and the rear deck, but speakers are pretty individual. Everyone said replacing the shaker would make a big difference but just replacing the speakers made a world of difference. And there's nothing to it. Easy as hell to install, but make sure you have a short screwdriver to deal with the rear windshield.

How many speakers are standard in the Shaker 500 anyway?

if your replacing them do it properly 6.5" set of components up front. My view is speakers should be round plus the 6x8's 6x9's and most oval speakers generally dont replicate sound all that well. They try to fill in the lower end to much and you end up a speaker thats trying to do bass, mid and treble and falling short in each section.

Small set of 6.5" components up front put them on some custom brackets. 8" sub in the door and your laughing. It will provide the punch and still give great highs. If you need some proper bass it depends on the type of music you listen to what sub and size to go for. 10's are good for tight punchy bass 15's are good for long slow bass lines and 12's do a bit of everything. Thats the general idea anyway there are exceptions good 15" subs are usually more responsive than cheap 10" subs.

My prefered brands are Rainbw, RE, Focal and DLS.
