Default NEWB

Hey guys, I've actually been a member of the forums for a little bit, however, I havn't been on in a long time. I recently got into an accident with my 20064.0L Mustang... Unfortunatly it was totalled because I got hit by a Dodge Ram making a left turn and he was going about 50+ MPH. He hit the rear passanger-side tire causing my Rear axle to snap right at the differential, the Lakewood LCA's snapped like toothpicks, break lines broken. frame crackedand one of the springs in my rear suspension flew out of the car into the street. The car was totalled due to having over $13,000 in damages. Insurance paid the car off and I decided "what the hell?" I took the money along with money I had saved up and dropped it on a new 2007 Mustang GT. So now I'll be on this part of the forums and I thought I might share that. The Mustang GT is basically a new car for me so I'm pretty new to it. Thanks guys

It sucked because I did have a lot of money wrapped up in that car but the insurance company paid the car off so I just went GT searching and Brandon Ford in Tampa showed me a Mustang GT Delux with grey leather, 2" FR Lowering Springs, FR Axleback Exhaust (which BTW actually sounds really nice)FR Strut Tower Brace, FR CAI, Short Shifter and Window Tint. So it kind of made up for all the money I put into the V6 I suppose because this GT was only a little over $29,000 new.
Thanks for the welcoming, I appreciate it.

Well that's what I was hoping ya'll could help with maybe. I know I want to get a custom tune (X-Cal 2) from either Bama Chips or Evo but I'm not sure what else would be a good idea. I don't know if anyone has heard what the Ford Racing Axleback sounds like but they sound damn good so I'm not sure what exhaust would be better. I already have the 3:55 option to I'm gonna stay away from the rear for a little while. I definitely want to get wider tires for the rearlike I had on the 'ol V6. I had 295/45/18's which madethem 28" from top of the tire to the bottomon it but I'll keep the tire size at 27" and probably go with 285/40/18's on the rear. I know that some time down the road I want to get JBA LT headers with the JBA H-pipe but I'd like to see if they would work with the exhaust I have now or if I'd have to get the JBA pipes and mufflers.

The only thing I've done so far was I took the MRT-Direct rear window louvers off the V6 and put em on the GT and then I have all the other mods that I stated in my previous post.

Thanks a lot guys!

^^^ I myself would go with brenspeed for the xcal tune...you're already on the wide tire kick...i would also recommend some rear ca's to get the wheel hop under control...maybe an o/r x or h to kick up the sound of your a/b a little bit (I love my x + flo's)...the 3:55s will probably get old fast, especially if you live in GTO/f-body country lol...well that's my two cents, again welcome (back)...

ya the JBA LT's and H should work with your axle backs no problem.

+1 xcal either Brenspeed or custom dyno tune.
