Default another tip.

Well I cant find the reason to buy some shiny new stainless rotors, since I hate the coating of rust on areas that the pads dont touch.

An easy alternative is to go to autozone and buy some duplicolor caliper paint, and take the wheels off and paint the hell out of the rotors, the whole front face, without taking it off.

I wanted to coat the whole thing, so even the area where the pads rub is painted, but does rub off in about two minutes.

Total time for job today-2 hours.

Besides, you get a chance to clean up the rims!

Look at some before/after pictures. The finish is amazing and will last for years-my brother's stang is proof!

Be warned that the paint was still wet and I did not drive it yet at that point to rub off the friction zone on the rotors.

OK, I am goin to repear UberHax0r's question...why did you paint the part where the break pads makes contact with the rotors...you know is going to rub off in two seconds. I see where rotorpros are painted, but they are not where you painted your....[&:]

ugh, no. I unintentionally painted the friction part,

I guess you dont understand.

There are areas on the stock rotors that COME INTO NO CONTACT with the pads, and still rust, and look terrible.

I painted those target areas, but to ensure that every non-friction part was covered, I painted the whole thing.

THAT WAY, NOTHING CAN RUST OR CORRODE WHERE THE PADS DONT TOUCH THE ROTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
