Default LT Hooker Headers

Alright so I'm difinitely looking into getting some LT headers and hopfully an offroad X-Pipe with it. I live in Orlando,Florida so I'm not worried about the sound ordinates and what not. Does anyone have Hooker LT's? I know that Hooker has been around a Long time and is well known and popular with old hot rods. Are these headers for the 05+ GT's good? When I say good I mean, will they make my car sound good, loud and give it a little bit of extra power? I noticed that they are cheaper than say JBA's and SLP's. I'd like to hear from anyone that knows about them, has them or has heard clips or anything that might help. Thanks a lot!

i have the coated hooker l/t's and they look as good as the day i put them on (almost 2 years ago). spend the extra money and get the coated headers you won't be sorry. they fit great and sound really good. i used the stock h-pipe and cut off the cats. i also bought two extra factory clamps so i wouldn't have to expand the pipe to fit over the collector and it makes it really easy to drop the exhaust when i need to. i use the stock mufflers(on the street)and love the sound it has with the "off road" h-pipe. no drone and very tolerable when cruising driving normal but loud enogh to let people know yhou are there.

Did you install the headers yourself or did you have it done by someone else? If so, how much did it cost? I trust Hooker because they've been around for such a long time so I figured I couldn't go wrong with getting them.

i did the install myself. it wasn't too bad since these cars don't require the k-member to be removed. you will want a 13mm gear wrench and make sure you have a 5mm socket to remove the stock studs from the heads.
