Default non intercooled

Does anyone run a n/i supercharger. I am getting ready to buy a supercharger and cant decide which one I want. Being 40 yrs old im kind of a
old school guy. To be honest my car has 4:10 gears a Hurst shifter, Hooker exhaust and Bama tunes and runs really strong. I feel like if the car had about 50 more hp it would run as good as I would like. Ive been the extreme route in the past and found myself with the hood up everytime I got ready to drive it. The guy I would have install the s/c says Pro charger is the best way to go. My friend bought the black 05 from Livernois Motorsports at Barrett Jackson ($54,000.00) It is not very streetable with the 22psi Pro charger. Any suggestions would be nice . Thanks

if i were you, with the requirement you listed....
i would go with the saleen series VI, base version (stage 1).

imo, you can't beet this unit and it's easily upgradeable, in
case somewhere down the line, you start craving more
power.

* there's nothing wrong with the prochargers.....everyone
has there own preference tho.

good luck with the project and keep us posted

I have to agree with hammeron. You can get the base saleen for $4,000 or slightly over that. It's intercooled and will make the power you want without loosing any driveability. The base kit doesn't even change the plugs or injectors.

I'll agree ^^^ of course.[8D]

Seriously though, the base setup Saleen s/c would be perfect for you. Capable of running from 400bhp to 400rwhp on the stock pulley, depending on what tune you go with and whether you're willing to do a few supporting mods. Totally streetable and fun power when u want it. It makes for a good street only setup. Plus the install is cake.

Crap I got screwed on my install price.....lol. The base kit should run you about 5200 and change, spend the extra 1000 and get the39# injectorsand tuner you won't regret it.

if you want something streetable, no matter how much power you are putting out, go wit ha turbo
stay under the boosting rpm, and your driving an n/a car pretty much.
those are my plans...

I am running a Kenne Bell non intercooled, installed myself and the car runs better than stock IMHO on 93 octane. I don't beat it to much though. I think I paid $4500 BTW
