Default engine build options

hey i was just wondering what was out there for engine builds in terms of options i have see some stuff like the 5.2l kit? i think that was the size just wondering if you would be better off building the motor for boost or strocking it then making boost.

Eh. You can go up to a 5.4 (I believe) and fit it in our engine bay, but honing the stock block and getting a stroker kit will get you some good #'s

The 302 (5.0L) kit is awesome! You can make 400BHP with this kit with no other mods...look into it!

if you go with the 302 stroker i've heard of problems. 297/8 seems to work alot better.

If you go n/a you need a higher compression but if you wanna build it for boost you need to go to a lower compression. But if you go lower like 8:5 on a stock engine with no boost in the motor you will loose HP. So if youre building it for boost later then you gotta deal with the lowered HP for now. If you wanna stay n/a go with a 11:0 compression...unless you got lots of money to switch the pistons out later i would think very hard on what your plans are

i say turbo
Haha..biased? I think the roar of a v8 goes hand in hand with a supercharger more so than a turbo, but both are efficient and make good gains!

I read the same thing a few days ago and was thinking of a stroker kit for next year! I think the guy said the 298 was great and worth the money in the long run.
