Default Cold Air Intake

I've been thinking of putting a CAI on my stang.... I'm not sure which one to get. My car came with a diablosport tuner, and i've added slp lm and xpipe. I'd rather not pay extra to have it tuned after i get the CAI. rpmoulet has a S&B filter for $206 and a BBK for $230. It says the BBK adds 18 rwhp, and S&B adds 25 rwhp. I'm leaning towards the BBK just by the picture and lifetime warranty. Plus it says the BBK is the only air system in the market that doesn't require any computer tuning. I know some people have had a bad experience with rpmoutlet, but mine's been good. (plz no arguement about rpmoutlet... just advice on the filters) The $24 difference isn't that big of a deal. I just want a good filter. Help please???

BBK isn't the only one that can go without a tune. There are alot of others C&L, K&N, Afraid.... the list goes on.

get the JLT. it is one of the best along w/ C&L and steeda. JLT w/ tune = 25rwhp and costs $200 and looks good under the hood too. order the JLT from brenspeed w/ the tune you wont regret it.

Anyone have any experience / opinion about aFe Filters? I know they are very popular with trucks.

I don't think it has a tune for the JLT. I have 87, 89, and performance tune. Unless the performance tune is for the JLT??

yes. think of it more as........you get to have a tune that takes advantage of a 90mm MAF tune.

trust me, you WANT a tune. a tune is a higher priority than an intake, for anyone whos experienced it. the two mods are one in the same. dont bother with a tuneless intake, TRUST ME.

Ok.... so i checked out Brenspeed and i guess i should definitely get it tuned. They say that if you have a sct tuner from brenspeed that it costs no extra when you buy a CAI. If you don't have one from them it's $75 for a tune. The thing is i don't know where my tuner came from and it's a predator... not a SCT. Can they still tune it to a predator?
