Default Electric Water Pumps

Who has them? What gains did you get? And where did you get them from? Couldn't find much from searching for them.

You don't buy an EH20 for gains.

Must have for serpentine driven FI guys. (toss a belt once and you'll quickly learn why)

Definitely not a 'must have' mod for stock or mild bolt-on guys.

fordfanboy, can you elaborate why it helps with serpentine belts? Basically, what is the function?

What he's referring to is the problem a serpentine presents. It drives and interacts with every function of the vehicle, ie, powersteering, A/C, alternator, waterpump etc. If you throw the serpentine and don't have another belt you are SOL. Towed home. If you have a dedicated belt for the blower or an electric water pump and you throw the belt on the S/C, you can drive home since your ride will still have water flowing through it.

Exactomundo...

Even having an extra belt, the KB is simple enough but for just about everything else changing a belt is no easy task. Especially on the centrifugals.

I have one. I think I got it from Brenspeed. I had the water pump, gears and udp's installed all at once. It was a nice improvement.

i thought a Mezier water pump was supposed to give a minimum game of like 7hp and most likely closer to 10hp...

Is it true that the gains of an electric water pump are minimal if you are already running UDPs?
