Default Need to Vent...

Every year around this time I always ask myself why the hell I still live in Wisconsin. Even though it is inevitable the first dusting of snow came last night. What really pisses me off is that it was barely enough to cover the grass, but the road crews still felt the need to dump salt all over the roads...even though it was back up near 50* today. God the next 5 months are going to suck.[:@][:@][:@] Dont know how to deal with being away from my car that long. I figured I'm not the only one going through this so feel free to vent as well. People who arn't into cars just dont understand.

I know exactly what you mean. But... i may drive my stang this winter, this is my first winter with it and i can either drive the family beater 02 trepid, or my mustang. Im not sure what i wanna do and it kinda drives me away from my stang knowing i cant drive it all the time! -Jon

Where in Wisconsin are you? A couple friends of mine have offered me a job and are trying to get me to move to Marshfield..

But yes, back on topic, my stang has been put up for two whole weeks already now. Road crews here (NY) did the same thing - we got about an inch (didn't even fully hide the grass), and there was salt EVERYWHERE.. So, the 97 Grand Prix beater is my transportation now for the next 4 or 5 months.. This is my first winter storing the car (I just bought it this past March), so it's very difficult on me.. The first time is always the hardest, right? LOL

Damn snow.. I need a job offer in Vegas or Florida or something..

I will be driving mine in the winter also, Only on the days when the streets are dry and no snow forecasted, And I will be washing it at the automatic car wash that washes the undercarriage on a regular basis

Yeah, I will be throwing on the winter tires here pretty soon and be driving my car year round. I did last year, and with some nice winter tires, the car handles pretty good in the snow and ice. Good luck to everyone doing the same.

I fell the same as you. If you want to use it, just hose it off or throw buckets of warm water on top and underneith of the stanger after you drive it.

But, If you wish to use it and not bring it outside,

Put a friggin dyno in your garage!! You get to gun it whenever and it NEVER gets dirty!!!

Thats the best of both worlds
