Default getting closer to that time

im in the process of putting on my exhaust and im looking around for a cai/tune package (me and 30,000 other people here). i remember seeing a thread a little while back saying that brenspeed's tune took the throttle lag away for like a week and then it came back. big no no. anybody know of one that gets rid of it permanently? thats the one thing i dont like in my car and i hate it in today's cars (the mustang has lag, but the least amount that ive tried in any car yet). thanks

Brenspeed's tune takes away throttle lag for pretty much forever. his tune kicks ***, i really don't think theres any mail order tune that can even come close.

that thread that i remember was talking about how some people had it for a week and it gradually faded. maybe its just a fluke. i was just wondering if there was some widespread problem that i didnt know about haha

I think the issue is the adaptive learning capability of the computer. If you drive it granny style, you may be more apt to develop throttle lag if I undeerstand correctly. But if you drive it hard it won't learn those "bad" lessons... LOL!

Throttle lag is a mechanical defect in some cars so thatmay play a roll in so "returns" to having throttle lag.

This is correct. There is an easy cure luckily. Every couple times you drive your car, do this procedure and no more throttle lag. Get in the drivers seat, turn the key to the on position but dont start car. Slowly engage the throttle until it reaches the floor and hold it there firmly for 5 seconds, then slowly disengage the throttle pedal. Turn the key to the off position. Engage the clutch, start the car and enjoy This resets the adaptive learning computer

does that disable it for good? boy thats a crazy little pattern yo uhave to do it, but ill try it. if it disables the learning computer that should definitely get rid of any chance of the lag coming back. .....sweet

Thats a bunch of crap lol.

My brenspeed took almost all of the lag out of the stang with the 93, and lots with the 87.

I posted on here a month ago of how I got some paint chips from homedepot and taped them into the drive-by wire to keep it from returning to its completely closed position.

The result-more power from brenspeed, little lag, and no dead-pedal.

Works like a charm, if I rest my foot on the throttle, I can hear it rev up~![8D][8D][8D][8D]
