My wife b*tched a little bit because she thought it was "perfectly fine the way it is". But that changed once she figured out all the attention she was getting while driving it. I've threatened to take it off a couple of times just too get her hair ruffled (I bought the car for her and the blower for me), and if looks could kill, I'd be dead.

 

lol moosetang. My story was a little like that. My wife got a raise so I was bugging her to get one. She tossed the credit card at me to shut me up, then I proceeded to order it lol

 

My fiance didn't want me to get the turbo because she didn't want me to be faster than her...then some of her GTO buddies tried to convince her that me getting a turbo wouldn't make me faster than her and I was like yeah, just keep telling yourself that, lol...

Get a part time job or start your own side jobs, hopefully she'll feel guilty(as to how important getting a S/C is to you) and gives in.

 

First, make certain you can afford it without digging a deep debt hole. Second, don't ask permission, sell her on the idea. Help her understand that this is something important to you and that her support of your desire means a lot you your relationship. Remember that big rock you put out for when you asked her to marry you? It's now your turn.

Whatever you do, don't lie, don't hide behind some false macho facade. She will never get over that, I guarantee. Oh, she may say she's over that, but trust me, it will haunt you the rest of your married life
