Default Bolt on's advice

I am considering down the road sometime getting the JLT 2 intake with the Brenspeed 87 tune, Steeda UDP's, and gears. What gear ratio will bring out the added HP better (or added HP feeling while accelerating), the 3.73's, 3.90's, or 4.10's. I'm just kind of leary of the 4.10's because I've heard that 1'st gear is basically none existant anymore. Any info/opinions are greatly appreciated. BTW would adding a new TB do that much with this setup or are the gains small enough that it isn't worth the $?

Most people with sticks usually go with 4:10s and 3:73's with autos.

Any of the Ratio's you mentioned will give you good performance. I'd save my money on the TB's though, do a search on the subject and you'll see why.....Enjoy.

JLT is an excelent choice.
I would recommend 4:10's. My 1st gear is still there!
Please avoid the Throttle body and use that money for some delete plates or something.

I am in the same boat as you mynameismike........I plan on getting the JLT/XCAL cai/tune once the snow is gone. Soon after I want to get 4:10's just for fun. I myself also have an auto...and I have also heard that first gear is a little shorter than the stock tune. Either way......the wallet will be thinner.

Mines a 5 spd. but thatreally doesn't matter...You do sound like your in the same spot as me...waiting for the snow to be gone. But hopefully everything works out because I think the stang needs a little waking up. If you get yours before me make sure to let me know how its goes and what you think.

Haha.....my bad. I can't wait for the snow to be gone. I have not driven the car since the December 2nd. I already know for a fact that I am ordering the JLT/XCAL from Breenspeed the 1st week of March. That way...when the car goes back on the road...hopefully late march..early april I will have it to put on after I run a few tanks of 93. The UDP's and gears will follow shortly

Dec. 2!!!!!! you are one lucky guyI havn't driven mine since the beggining of Nov. Oh well...it will only make pulling it out of the garage in April that much sweeter. Good call BTW on ordering the stuff in March and not now...it would have only tormented you having to look at the box and not being able to install itI know from experience...my Hurst shifter has been calling my name for the last month.
