hey guys,, recently had my car tuned on the dyno... do u guys think these numbers are good for being an auto gt?? all i have basically is intake, full exhaust, and u/d pulleys.... other than the 100 shot...

all motor: 300hp 315lbs torque
100 shot: 370whp 460lbs torque

I'm gonna guess that they used a Mustang Dyno, but yeah, those numbers look good.Nitrous always makes good torque down low simply because the motor is moving slower and you have longer time to take advantage of the extra fuel and O2 to burn in the cylinder. A very VERY rough rule of thumb I use to predict torque on nitrous, is that for every 100 they rate the shot at, expect 150 ft/lbs. Of course, alot of things will effect this, such as how agressive or safe your tune is, exhaust, etc... but it generally gets you within 10 to 20 ft/lbs on a relatifely stock engine.

dyno time was 100 bucks... no matter how long it takes to tune... total came out to 500...
for the ht0 plugs gapped to a .32, a all motor tune, and a nitrous tune...

300rwhp (Im assuming you mean rwhp and not HP)out of a Mustang Auto with nothing but an intake..........aint gonna happen.
300HP +at the fly wheel yes.

With a good intake and tune, and a good tune you should be close to 340hp +/-at the flywheel. (about 280+rwhp)

Then hitting it with the 100 shot and a good tune, the 370rwhp sounds about right.

Watch out for the rods, one little detonation and boom! Its all in a good custom tune. I would risk a cannned tune. But thats just me.

Nothing but an Intake!?! I am guessing you missed the full exhaust which includes a set of long tubes and a catless Xpipe, and the underdrive pulleys. Add in the fact that it'sa full custom tune and not a mail order, and 300 RWHP is about dead nuts on, even for an auto.

I would love to know what kind if gains you saw from the dyno tune. I know there are custom tunes specific to some mods.. even some combination of mods depending on the vendor. But I would love to see what kind if RWHP you can gain by taking one of those custom tunes dyno the results, then see if you can improve those #s on a dyno tune.

What was the Before and After results from the tune?
