Default To go with Boom Tubes or SLP Loudmouths?

Hey everyone,

Well I narrowed down the choices for the AB that I am looking at and need your help! I am looking for something with a nice deep sound, but tolerable, not too much drone, something the girlfriend can handle while int he car, haha. I listened to all the clips on the official thread https://mustangforums.com/m_3563477/tm.htmand like these two pretty well. It's tough to not hear them in person, but I want other people's thoughts and suggestions here. I want a nice deep sound to let people know I am here, but at the same time keep it resonable so the girlfirend doesn't get pissed and we can still have a normal conversation in the car with the top down.

Both are similar in price, Boom tubes $289 shipped, SLP loudmouths about $325ish.

So what are everyone's thoughts here? They will be going on an otherwise stock '06 convertible, will probably be getting a SC in the next few months as well.

Let me know everyone.

Thanks.

Nick

I have heard both in person and IMO I like my SLP's better than the Boom Tubes. Maybe Im a bit biased haha. Seriously though I do love the sound on my car. My wife also loves riding in my car because she loves the sound as well. Good luck on your decision, im sure the polls will stay pretty even.

I believe I am going with boomtubes this spring. The poll will probably come out pretty evenly.

exx1976- No I haven't what is the price point of those? Do they compare in sound to the 2 in the poll? How about drone with them?

Thanks,

Nick

Brenspeed sells them for $449 I think.. They are super-high-quality all stainless.. I think they sound great. Brenspeed had them on the '08 that they are now selling, and when I got a ride in it, I was like "Gotta have em"..

But, now I'm getting the Cervini's side exit exhaust, so I'm not even going to install the Power Flo's.. So, I have a set sitting in the trunk of my car that are brand new, never installed. But I don't have the box they came in, because that box wouldn't fit in my trunk.. I'm gonna try and find someone local to sell them to.

I have the SLP powerflows. They are just to quiet. I'm taking them off for something with a deeper louder American Muscle kind of sound. I'm up against this question as well.

Well I would say go with the slp loudmouth but you could build your own for alot cheaper I built mine on my 07 and they sound just as good as if i would have spent $400 on them and I just paid $90 for mine.
