Magnuson Supercharger?
OOO... but really? you would stay away from it? I probably would too just because of my assupmtion from not many mustang owners equiping their vehicle with the magnuson.
I was funnin about the broken part, but yeah, I wouldn't go near it for several reasons.. First is the extra belt/pulley garbage - more moving parts = more to break. Second, it's a roots blower.. Inefficient, and hot..
I wonder then why Lingenfelter, the top Chevy tuner in the US chose this supercharger for their cars? the companies name is Magnacharger: www.magnacharger.com
This inefficient supercharger makes some impressive gains on Corvettes, don't know 'bout Mustangs though.

Here are a coupleof reasons I would avoid that blower and the roush for that matter.
Inefficient design
Cost
in-ability to upgrade (more hp)
Here are some reasons I would/ did buy a twin screw
Very efficient design
Equal cost - for more and better stuff
large ability to upgrade for more power
Start taking a look at the big three, KB, Saleen, and Whipple. And for that matter I would stick to the Saleen and Whipple. They fit perfect just like OEM, great quality, good price, nice power gains, and they are tried and true. Thousands of stangs running around with minimum problems. KB is right behind but they are a little more money, more work to install, and have some issues with oil leaking.
In the end just buy what you like, and you will be happy. Just weigh all the options first.

eh... im good. doesnt seem worth spending 6k or so to have it when you could spend the same on a supercharger that people disucss a lot... (saleen, pro, vortechs, kb's, whipples...etc)
The blower offered in that package uses the same internals as the one used on the 03-04 Cobras. It is a good size for the 4.6 motor. That blower and package is good if you want a simple bolt-on blower with excellent reliability. It's not going to give you as much power as a Vortech or Procharger, at least not in factory form, but the down-low torque is great. You can also change the pulleys later on for more power. The slightly larger displacement version of this blower, the 122, is what is used in the Shelby GT500 and the Ford GT. It's definitely a good all-around blower for your daily-driven car.

Think of how a jump-rope bends when two kids twirl it. That is what that jackshaft does under load at high rpm - not cool
Also, the drive belt cannot be properly adjusted - expect belt slippage
If it's a modest gain pushed toward street guys - it should be sold for a modest price. Considering it's using an old school Eaton compressor there is no excuse for the price tag other than greed IMO.
I admit i've heard one and they sound purty though

^^^^.....for the same reason that Carrol Shelby endorses ZMAX and Bob Glidden endorses SUPERCHIPS. Old school guys hawking crap because they think their name alone will sell it. They were all super heroes and then they sold out.

You shouldn't have any belt-slip issues with the stock pulley. If you decide to swap pulleys there should be an aftermarket belt-tensioner available, similar to what is available for the 03-04 cobras and the magnacharged pontiac gto's.
They are pricey, but nothing is really cheap anymore, at least not compared to something like a Vortech S-trim for a 5.0. The Eaton design is the 5th generation design and is their most efficient yet. Although they are coming out with a new design that's even more efficient, don't expect it to be readily available any time soon. You're paying for a reliable setup that will get you moving a lot faster without all of the hastles.
The whine sounds good, and even better when you spin the blower faster.
