I originally had the stingers with o/r H-pipe and I took the plunge and tried the MM's with my o/r h-pipe and personally (notice I said personally...as in my own opinion) I couldn't bear the MM's during acceleration and WOT. They were a lot higher pitched and not as deep as the stingers. Not to mention a headache to line up...and even then they vibrated the rear of my car...and yes I checked clearances! If someone were to get them welded on I'm sure it might deaden the vibration alil. In fact, I just got home from taking the MM's off and re-installing the stingers. I could tell a difference right away in the deepness. I am much happier...I can't believe I cheated on my stingers...[sm=hail.gif] OBTW... the MM's are for sale and have less that 50 miles on them, would like to sell them locally (Laurel, MD) PM me your offer!

Lesson learned....if your gonna go with the MM's keep the cats or buy Hi-flows...

gthe pypes mid muffler is actually an SLP LM design with some resonators IMO. So there will not be as deep of a sound like on the stingers. It will be slightly raspier and adding a o/r x pipe will bring that out alot more IMO. and o/r h with the pypes might not be bad but I i agree that its hard to beat the stingers with o/r h pipe....in fact putting on the pypes system with the stinger mufflers produces a very deep and nice tone.

I know I said it before, but, the exhaust will move when accelerating/decelerating. Something was touching on your car or you didn't have the clamps tightened properly. My exhaust is not welded and there's no vibration after adjusting the hangers.

Pypes should do a littler more R&D on this system to work out the hanger placement problems, but other than that it is about as good as it gets.

I don't know how you can take the drone with the borla stingers, unless your O/R H lessens it somehow. It would give me a splitting headache after only 5 minutes.

As I said in a previous thread regarding the MM system.............

Well mine are perfect run with a catted X, if you get them welded up it's even better, no vibration, no drone at 2100rpms like others have experienced. Get rid of the factory mounts and buy some of the aftermarket ones with the solid rubber bushings and wallah, no rattle, no vibration whatsoever, like others have mentioned measure up the ends where they slide into the mounts and trim off the excess that may hit the frame or rear pan mounts and you'll be fine. The MM system after about three months of usewill mellow out beautifully, a low growl at idle, aggressive tonewith a "blip" of the throttle, and smooth and mean as hell when you stomp it.
An easy install, just a little irritating getting them lined up perfectly, but I wouldn't trade it for anything now.
As close to the 5.0 sound as you'll ever get.

The Stingers with o/r H-pipe drone isn't that bad, if your drive on the highway at a certain speed it will eventually level itself out. The drone with the MM's and o/r h was A LOT worse then the Stingers are.

I've got the Pypes MM and love it!!! Sounds incredible!!! My car is lowered 1" in back and I've got a little interference going that gives me a clunk once in a while but as soon as the weather gets a little better I'll change out the mounts and find whats hitting what. Other than that little clunk, it's a great kit. Went together easily.

If it's clunking when you hit a bump then it's most likely the drivers side axle back pipe hitting your panhard rod brace. I had to loosen the axle back clamp and push up at the pipe connection while tightening the clamp.
