Headers

Headers
I've been looking into buying some headers lately and I was just wondering which ones are good. Any advice?
I heard the JBA ceramic coated longtubes are really good and stage3motorsports has them for $779...seems like a pretty good deal. With the catted H that comes to about 1200. How about the BBK or Hooker ceramic coated longtubes? Any good? Also, which ones will work with a catted H...the only one I could find was the JBA catted H...will that fit with other headers or no?
Sorry for all of the questions, but any answer or advice is much appreciated.
Thanks

RE: Headers
Warning, you are going to get ALOT of different replies about this thread.
MOST headers will produce similar gains, give or take a couple HP, but the difference is in sound, drone, etc.
And things like that are all opinion.
I personally have the BBK, I know, cheap, but i just wanted a basic header, becuase with my coresa mufflers, the mufflers are going to do most of the talking.
What you need, is something that is going to be easy to install, have a good coating and good price.
I will tell you right now, the BBK are not the easiest to install, very time consuming, but i have heard that as well with the JBA.
As long as you have the mufflers...the keys is going to just pick one, becuase honestly, you are going to love whatever you get...once its fired up and revved up, they all sound great.
Just listen to what people say and then pick one, dont make it a lengthy decision.

RE: Headers
I've heard from a lot of people that Kooks and American Racing (I think) are the two best as far as quality goes. I myself will probably be getting the Kooks setup from Brenspeed, not only because of there quailty, but since I bought my SCT from them I get a new tune including my headers for free which is a little bit of a money saver. But I'm sure shooter23 is right about the gains, as long as you get a decent name header the gains are very similar i believe.

RE: Headers
What are the best prices for the ARH and Kooks...I couldn't find a price I'd be willing to pay. Also, which headers can you get with a catted H-pipe? The only ones I've seen are the JBAs.

RE: Headers
ARH you can get catted or off road in x and h pipe both.....kooks i know offers a couple choices also.
you can browse through the sponser list on the side of the page and check prices for all the different header setups and pricing
