Default 2008 bullitt mustang upgrade concerns/questions/help

I have a 2008 bullett mustang and I want to get off road exhuast with a X pipe twister exhuast mufflers Borla headers and steeda cold air intake (with high air flow elbow)

If I cut out my cats I am told I wont lose power but I need to trip out my o2 sensors... will the live wire tuner knock them out for me ? or do I need something special for this?

I also want to get GMS Ford 3V Coil Pack Kit, BBR Mustang GT 3V Camshaft, light weight pullys, better plugs, will I need to upgrade my clutch and rear end with these mods?

and will I get more HP with a high PSI head and valves/springs or is the stock head and springs good enough for the new cam?

sorry for the repost... if any of this doesnt make sense or sounds like a dumb noob mistake let me know, im kinda new to the car upgrades but its sparked my interest so much im selling my crotch rocket to pay for upgrades to my car

PS if anyone knows the HP of these upgrades let me know and if any of them sound like bad ideas let my know why

You need either a tune or MIL eliminators when removing the cats. Yes, the livewire with a tune should be able to take care of the CEL when removing the cats.

The clutch and rearend will be fine, there are people running superchargers with the stock clutch.

I think the Bullitt already comes with FRPP stinger mufflers which are made by Borla.

The following is just my opinion but if I had a bullittIwould not replace the airbox. The bullitt intake seems like the best cold air kit out there, in that it seals the filter from underhood heat reducing intake air temps drastically. There was a post on another forums about some testing that bamachips did on the bullitt intake and it sounded impressiv. I think Ford did a great job on it and don't think you would notice any difference with the steeda piece. As far as your other planned mods go, I would be hesitant to change the exhaust very much and lose that bullitt sound that Ford strived to get. But to each his own. I would consider a lightweight driveshaft, underdrive pullies and possibly headers, and maybe eventually cams. If Iw as going to go with cams I would probably steer more towards something by Comp. To me the disappointing thing about cams is that in all the dyno posts I've of cams for these cars is that nobody picks up any torque or horsepower until ~4500rpms and above. I really wouldn't want to invest all the time and money for cams unless I was going to see some gains in the lower rpms as well. Especially since my car is a daily driver. With that said though, I've not seen anyone post any dyno results from stage I cams which might provide a boost in the low end. Seems like a lot of people just do cams for the sound which is not necessarily the right reason to do it for. I think ported and polished heads with stock cams would realize better overall gains. I think that is what saleen did on the Parnelli jones model and they're pushing 400HP. Anyways these are just my thoughts and opinions.

The BULLITT does not come with FRPP stingers... the entire exhaust of the car is made specifically forthe BULLITT (except for the stock manifolds i believe)
I have aBULLITT also and i am getting ARH headers with a catted H with the stock mufflers, a tuner and thats about it... Do you really want put a cam in the the BULLITT?

If you want borla headers why dont you just buy the kit that i did. Its from summitracing.com It includes the Borla XR-1 longtubes and borla o/r x-pipe. It is $1,182.00. I love this kit if you have any more questions about it just pm me.

with the livewire you can turn off the rear O2 sensors yourself, and add CAI and switch it on the livewire yourself too. but i would say keep the CAI you got now, its pretty good as is, but its up to you. and i wouldnt cut out the cats but replace the whole midpipe, i hate cutting and clamping or welding, just doesnt look good.

what i dont understand is why people would want to mess with the exhaust on the bullitt. it was specifically made for the car to make it sound like the original bullitt.

i would never want to lose that.

I agree, if the idea was to modify the Bullitt, thats IMO a bad idea, I would have got a regular GT and modded that!! the Bullitt sound great the way it is!! The airbox is great!! Maybe just a dyno tune??
