Interesting dyno #s after longtubes
After installing longtubes and an offroad h-pipe, the powerband noticably changed and developed a flat spot at the 3/4 shift that was really noticable at the track (although I still dropped two tenths of my time). I took it Woodbine Motorsports, who has been doing my tunes since 2005, and has been working hard to tune the cams.
Power went up 25hp!! I went from 323hp/309trq to 348/332. The powerband is very, very smooth and very responsive. I can't get to the track this weekend due to lousy weather coming in, but I will hopefully attend a track rental day on the 19th.
Here's the dyno sheet:

I'm going to be going up to see JJ againfor the rest of my suspension and clutch so I can go Whipple in the fall. He's a great guy who does great work. It's always awesome to see what he has sitting out front when you go.
Yeah, the cams need to breath MUCH better, and JJ keeps bonking me on the head for not doing ported heads at the same time. I'm saving up for those now, but it won't be until fall that I get them installed. He wants to push the car into the low 11s for my Pinks All Out race in July, but I'm more interested in just having fun and getting my 5 seconds of fame--Pinks All Out rarely chooses clusters in the 11.5+ range (only twice).
Regarding the cruise on the 19th, no, I'm going to the Northern Virginia Mustang Club's track rental at Mason-Dixon Dragway that day (weather permitting). My adjustable suspension wasn't dialed in at 323hp, so I'll have to start over, and a track rental with 15+ runs in it is an ideal time and place.
I have JBA titanium coated longtubes with the o/r h-pipe, and Comp stage III cams. The cams took me from 300hp/319trq to 323hp/309trq (note the torque LOSS). It took JJ a while to figure out the optimum cam timing and profiles to make up for the torque loss. That got me to 12.6 (and I swear there was still4 tenths in there--I'm just a fair to middlin driver). JJ doesn't believe in all the dyno "tricks" - icing down everything, etc - to get the most hp. He's all about real world every day performance and drivability, and wanted to be sure I would be happy both on the street and track. When the longtubes went on, obvious there was more airflow so he was able to fine tune the cams even more, and I think he was just as surprised as I was what he was able to get out of it. I'm very happy with regaining a significant amout of torque.
I've tried o/r x pipes on the '05, and they just didn't sound good with my Mac muffler (oddly, the catted ones were fine). On my '97 we noticed NO real hp difference between an x, h or Mac Prochamber, and the latter gave me the best sound so I still have that. On our Fox bodies though, the x made a real difference. Depends on the platform and your mods.
JJ is quite an amazing young man. Like the man said in a previous thread, half the fun is driving into his shop and seeing 10 Ford vehicles in various stages of upgrades, knowing the following week they'll be replaced by a new set--he has a considerable amount of traffic and is getting quite the reputation regarding SCT tuning. He's branching off into fabrication too, and apparently is now marketing front end suspension and chassis mods for Ford Lightnings (there was an article on it in Ford Truck magazine).
I'll update you guys on ETs after the 19th...
