Caution, everytime I see your car I just stare at it for 30 seconds. Minimum.

It is just so badass

what if you brake my car while you have it?
I doubt an emission test would hurt a car, it just pulls what come out of the tailpipe on a chassis dyno in a normal drive cycle (I don't even think it does a WOT). If we were to damage the vehicle of course we would take responsiblity.

I'm in s.calif. & I can return my tune to stock & reinstall my stock intake but my Mac exhaust has to stay since my stock axle backs are gone. Oh, btw, I've been to 2 tours of the Edelbrock home store with FTW & have met Cammie & Mr. Edelbrock personally.

Edelbrock is in need of assistance of a 2007 or 2008 Mustang GT owner. Edelbrock needs a unmodified GT from either 2007 or 2008 for emission testing to certify our current shortie header. So if you are in the Southern California LA area and have a vehicle that fills the following criteria contact us through a PM with your contact infomation. If we use your Mustang GT you will get a free set of the headers.

Here is the requirements:

1. The car has to have over 4000 miles.

2. It must be from either of these emission groups. The group is on the emission label that is in the engine compartment. 2007 group is 7FMXV04.6VBB and 2008 is 8FMXV04.6VBB

3. The vehicle must be stock. There can not be any mods of any kind is best. That means no CAI, gears, tuners, axlebacks, underdrive pulleys, wheels and tires of non-OEM sizes.......et al. If you have a vehicle that has something easily removed and replace, and you still have the original pieces we can use the vehicle.

We will need the car for approximatly a week, and we can supply a loaner vehicle if it is needed for the time of the test. If you have what we are looking for PM me with what you have and we will get in contact. Thanks to the Mustang people for the help.
Hmm...You guys are in Inland Empire - Hemet area of CA, I'm in Chandler, AZ (6-7 hour drive). I have family in San Diego and have a ton of unused vacation time.

I am a COMPLETELY STOCK 08 Auto including the 18x8 factory wheels...dayum I wish you guys were closer.... [&o]

What kind of loaner car? If its a GT500 or heavily modded Mustang GT I might make the trip

Edit just thought of something..Mine is probably Federal Emissions (haven't checked the Emissions label on mine yet) since I bought it here in AZ...dangit...

Come on edelbrock. You're a big company. Give them some free shorties, a free rental, and throw in a small priced item to their liking. gears, cash, sequential tailights, etc. Not worth the time or risk of someone having one of our gt's for some shorties, imo.

Your GT is exactly what we need, but your too far away. We need the car for 2 weeks to complete the test. Who would have thought that a Mustang GT in So Cal would be so tough to get.
