What air intake did you install? Does it require a tune? Little more info would be helpful.

Sounds like it needs a tune to me. As above poster said more info is needed, but I'd think about the stock airbox until you get it figured it out.

it is a JLT Performance air intake and a Flowmaster cat back exhaust.. the package for the air intake says it " will" require a tune.. where would I get that done or can I do it myself... I had to find the box to get the answer..thanx

cptspiller, you're not alone...i made the same mistake at first. I bought a CAI without realizing i needed a tune to use it.It will cost another $450 to get your setup to work, but believe me...you WILL love it. I know everyone in here remembers when they got their first CAI and tune! but to make it happen you will need to buy a new SCT2xcal 2tuner ($400) and a tune (usually $50 each).

I bought my tuner used in the FS/FT section. I went with a Diablosport Predator and was able to find one for $190 shipped. I ran the canned tune until I got my CMCV delete plates then I switched over to a Bamachips tune.

I'm running the brenspeed tunes, as stated its $380 with tunes included. If you buy parts from brenspeed he'll update the tunes for free. I think Bama does updates for free regardless. I have tunes from both tuners and both tunes are awsome but I like Brents a bit better for some reason(this is just preference both tunes make the car sing). Brenspeed and Bama are regarded as the 2 of the best in the business when it comes to tuning these mustangs.
