Default S197

I currently own a 2006 Windveil Blue Gt Convertible (5spd), with Black Leather Seats, and a Black Top, and have noticed that there aren't very many Windveil Blue Gt's out there.

So I was wondering if there is a Cardomain type site dedicated to S197's? I'm looking to get some idea's for future modifications I want to do to my Mustang, but I don't have the greatest amount of cash flow to experiment with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even pictures of your current S197's.

What kind of mods are you looking for?Performance or looks, audio, video?

For performance cai/tune is usally the best first bolt on but its hard to say w/o knowing what you want from the car. Do you want to go FI or staying N/A? Youve come to the right place though I'm not convinced the search function is working at the moment.

Enjoy the forums they are a wealth of info, and the stickies are great.

unless something changed today the search function was still broken yesterday.. Stickies! read those first, thats what I did and it helped a lot. After that I started reading threads as they came up that sounded like something I wanted to read. And listen to people who have first hand experience.. or who consistently knows what they are talking about.. there is some bad info occasionally going around.. usually someone will come around and correct them though.

I don't think Im going to start off with a CAI because Im afraid of my car leaning out.

Ive already visted American Muscle, and was looking into getting some Black Deep Dish Bullits (20"x8.5/20"x10) but there out of stock, and won't be getting any for 2-3 months.

Since I'm only 20 years old I just want something that says: "No its not my dads, Yes I own a 06 Mustang".

I've been looking into alot of Exhaust clips on Youtube, and it seems a little complicated to me. I've only found 1 clip that I like the sound of thatIS Catted.

And I'm waiting on Taillight Panels in hopes they come out with a look alike of Steve Saleen's Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang Taillight Panel

So I guess I'm looking for a more in your face mod I can do. But nothing to extreme because I'm planning on going clean even though my wheels are 3 months out, and I don't know if I want 18's they just seem to small in theory. + They can't be that bad if Steve Saleen, and Chip Foose put them on there cars.

In your face mods? paint it bright pink.. It'll suit you.

Don't want to listen to the advice of reading the stickies? then you might as well bugger off now.. Dont want to listen to the advice of CAI+Tune that 99% of s197 GT owners on this site will give you? Then either you have no interest in any additional performance at all or you are getting bad info from somewhere. The only reason you would not want 20s is because of performance loss, thats why people get 18s.

If you just want visual appearance stuff then go look into the appearance sub-section. Tire & Wheel info is usually in the handling performance section.

And if you want to be abused by another smart aleck, wait around a few minutes; another one will be along soon ...

Thier are a few CAI's that wont lean you out due to removable restrictors. Others you need a handheld tuner(SCT or Diablo are the most popular)and a custom tune. You can get them in packages for about 550-700 bucks depending on which one you choose(they normally come with 3 csutom tunes).

As far as it not being Dads I hate to tell you this but a lot of us on this are dad's or certainly more than old enough to be a dad. Mod the car yes but dont do it because of what others will think mod it the way you want it there is a huge aftermarket for mustangs.
