3.2 or smaller pulley users - need your input.
I would like to know from those of you who are using a 3.2 s/c pulley or smaller, what is your complete set up for your belt and have you upgraded anything to improve belt wrap to avoid belt slip?
Or, are you able to use your 3.2 or smaller pulley with everything else being stock such as the tensioner and the idler pulley?
What belt are you using for your pulley?

I think the one on my Paxton is 3" and I have never had any problems with belts, I think it is more of a postive displacement blower problem than it is a centri-style
With the Saleen, when using the 3.2 or smaller, I would get the larger water pump pulley. It provides better belt wrap and you can still use your belt you have from the 3.4" you're running. Brenspeed offers the w/p pulley, check their site.

Does anyone make a larger pulley to fit that?
Im running 3.2 pulley on Saleen Charger.....belt is a 107.5 and JDM had me just go down to the Ford shop and piclk up a WP Pulley for a V-10 could come up with part number if needed...it was like 25 bucks
I have the 3.4 pulley and after about a month, my stock tensioner started to twist in hard boost. This was causing belt slippage that was getting worst over time. I had to purchase a Roush Tensioner from JDM. I also had go with a 108 inch belt. This solved my issue.
I have seen others have belt slip issues and there two other options that have worked.
1) 8 rib pulley set. This is the best option but it cost approximately $600.
2) Sandblast the rib area of the pulley on the supercharger so it grips better. (Free)
Note: The sandblasting can give you a little extra belt noise. The person I saw do the sandblasted pulley had to go with a Gatorback Belt. The Gates was to loud. The Sand blasted pulley did fix this persons slipping problem.
Good luck,
