Dexcool is a GM coolant. It depends on what you're looking for as far as cooling properties. DO NOT mix dexcool with any other coolant. I run dexcool in my intercooler (20% dex and 80% distilled water with a bottle of redline water wetter) because I like its cooling properties. Do your homework and study up on how different coolants work before you decide on one. If you decide to use dexcool, be sure and flush ALL of your old coolant out VERY well before you put the dexcool in. Good luck.

Why would Ford put garbage in their vehicles.
Do you thinkFord likes honoring warranty claims?

Throughout my time working with cars, I've noticed that dexcool has a bad reputation because of improper maintenance. People often add other coolants to top off dexcool, which is a major no-no. Other times, people just plain neglect their cooling system. The truth is, dexcool can last you a very long time if it is used correctly.
