OBX Headers?

OBX Headers?
Ok so ive done some reasearch and i know the these particular headers arent the BEST on the market and i know i get what i pay for but im working on a budget and dont have 800 - 1000 to drop on some NICE headers and like i said ive talked to a few guys and they say that the only issues they have ran across are tight clearance by the steering column and minor contact w/ the bell housing. Supposedly there isnt any contact with an automatic tranny.
I was thinking about putting in some prothane mounts when i do the headers anyways, are they worth taking the time to do while im down there?
Thanks for any input.

I don't know of anyone personally with them, but i will say that if there is any chance of all with contact with anything, avoid them like the plague. The headers touching anything they shouldn't , even if they only do it on turns, will drive you batty! The slightest touch will vibrate and rattle the inside of the car something aweful, it will make you car sound like it's an old piece of crap. Not something I'd settle for to save a few bucks.

i have OBX headers and the only issue ive had is driverside header hits the steering stem on right turns. new motor mounts takes care of this little problem and even when it does hit its nothing like wut DRBOBSVS said. no vibration or rattling just stiffness in the steering a little. for the price i havent seen a better LT and would recomend them to anyone. i also gained 5 tenths and 5 mph in the 1/4 with just the LT's

Im mounts will solve the issue then i will probably get them, but i dont wanna have to worry about any kind of stiffness or contact when i turn my wheel. That will drive me nuts.
