Default 06 question...

So this may be a really dumb question, but here goes. The last two times I've spun the tires the whole car shakes violently and the gas gauge goes to empty. What is causing the whole car to shake that bad? I've had it for a year and it just began...and yes, the tires are a lot barer than they used to be.

Roush Stage 2, 2006.

Thanks.

not sure what makes the whole car shake. now i have had my engine like shut itself off while spinning the tires. then i looked to see that the traction control light was flashing. forgot to turn it off. happened a few times too. not used to the new tune that has it turned on and not permenently disabled anymore.

Default wheel hop

Thanks for the info, found this on another site:

The Swarr Bar keeps your rear end from flexing under load from the torque produced by high performance mustangs eliminating rear wheel hop getting the power to the ground were it's needed.

I really want to put a K/B charger on this car, but been out of work for a month, until then, all money goes to rent and food, wait, rent and beer!

The anti-sway bar keeps your car from swaying during a turn.
I dont think it keeps the rear end from flexing under load. Its
mounted with rubber bushings so it cant provide any anti-flexing
of the rear end.

Maybe you lost a wheel balancing weight. Happened to a buddy of mine once. It gave him fits untill he rebalanced the wheels.

WHEEL HOP!
Get upper and lower control arms and maybe a panhard bar and no more hop
If you can only afford one get the lower control arms, they will provide the most benifit but all 3 is best. now your tires are bald there hooking up pretty good and your arms cant control the torque, thus the axel hops up and down violently and can cause damage to your car.
