Default Psi for stock engine?

I decided to go with the kenne bell 2.6L stage 2 with 10 psi. Is that to much strain on a stock engine? Want to make sure before i order.... thanx for the input

I'm no FI expert as I'm N/A. But from what I've read on here, I'd say 10 is pushing it. If you have a really good tune and a really good fuel pump you should be ok. But I'd consider building the bottom end in the near future if I were you.

It would be best to wait for others to chime in before making your decision.

I've only heard a couple of people break while using 10psi

I agree, with a tune from a talented tuner and running 10psi, your car should be fine for years to come.

Up to 10 psi only.

Your tune is really what makes or breaks your block, however.

10psi is fine on the stock block, but it is the perceived limit, although many have gone to 12psi and been fine.

Just get a tune from a reputable guy and let them know you will give up some hp for safety.

Congrats on the blower you will love it.

What if you are forced to use a canned tune? If I install a saleen or whipple myself that's what I will have to do. I'm not driving the car 1000+ miles for a dyno tune.

Most are fine with the Whipple Tune, I know Hammeron, Moosestang, and myself have been running with it for a long time with no issues.

Cant speak to the saleen tune.

Thanks. Just kinda wondered whether using a canned tune affected the max. boost recommendation for a stock engine.

If you decide to stay with 10 psi, make sure you are comfortable with that because once you got it, there will be no way in hell you will say, "ok, I am going to go down to 8 psi now for safety". Just won't happen, the power is too addictive.
