Default Check engine light

So I took off my cats and now I am getting a check engine light. Will a Predator programmer take it off?

You need a tune to turn off the O2 sensors (that's cat removal 101 on our S197's). I don't think that's a user function on either the Predator or the Xcal handheld so you'll have to have someone like Bama, Brenspeed, VMP, etc. to write you tunes.

Yes the predator will do it with firmware version 8r08, 9r02 does not have the option anymore, you have to mod your tune prior to reflash it and go to the OBD options and turn everything there off.

Check if you have the option, if not PM me and I'll give you a link to the older firmware that the DS site does not have anymore (the link, the file is still there).

thanks guys. also, by having my cats off will that ruin my engine at all? Just because the check engine light comes on doesn't mean there's a problem does it?

not having cats wont ruin your motor, your CEL will starve your perf a little though.
