I am just reporting my personal experience with both types of blowers.
And thank you for doing so, B-man!!!

You can make good power with a vortech blower on the 05. Our current set up is running 10.1 @ 133 mph with a vortech. This is being done with stock cams, springs, and intake.

Being somewhat inclined to working on cars, with the proper tools what do you think a reasonable install time may be? 10 to 12 hours? Also, I would think that headers and a nice exhaust would be a have to have item for the SC. The "easy" install seems to be the Saleen SC. Not as intrusive on the OE parts as the others? Or so I hear. I am seriuosly considering going that route and maybe getting a little more aggressive with the tune afterwards. What are your thoughts on this one? Good... Bad... Ugly?

Since my car is a daily driver, I am drawn to the Saleen SC as well. I don't need a low-10sec car that is on the verge of self-destruction. I want an 11sec daily driver that is not pushing the envelope. The Saleen seems to provide plenty of power (no, not the most, but so what), at a boost that is easy on the mill.

When this car reaches 100K miles or so in 5 years, then I plan on making it primarily a track-car. My goal then would be 9s... but not with the stock rotating assembly.

We are definatly on the same page. I want 11's in a daily driver but not destroying my car doing it. This is so wierd because it's EXACTLY what I want to do.
