11 sec car
With a good clutch, good tires (drag radials) and a good suspension set up this is kind of a general way of how things should go:
450rwhp=12.20-11.75
475rwhp=11.75-11.50
500rwhp=11.50-11.20
There are other factors too though. (auto, manual, driver mod, weather, sea level..) I know of a guy with 480rwhp who has hit 11.30. But he is a freak. And it all depends on how your suspension and tires are set up.
So basically to hit 11.99 you would need the supercharger (10psi), clutch and sticky tires. With a driver mod you could do it easier, but you might need suspension if you suck at driving.

You don't need FI to hit 11's.
Take a look at Jim D'Amore Jr's saleen. N/A with a 300ci stroker high compression, ported heads, kooks headers, comp cams, 4.56 gears, UDP, CAI, ... the usual.
Of course good tires and suspension upgrades.

instead of supercharging, you can always turbocharge....
Doing it N/A is going to be much more expensive with a lot less potential.
I think with some true slicks, steeper gearing, headers, great weather and most importantly good track prep, I could prob break 10s at 10 psi.

its not a S/CSeriously cheapest way is to buy any FI kit at 10psi. Instant 11's with a sticky tires and a good driver with a manual, or a brick to hold the gas peddle down in an auto.
i was waiting for someone to throw in the auto comment
if i could do it over again i'd def get a manual. BUT you could hit 11's with an AUTO and a 100shot of nitrous and a few minor mods with some good DR's. Check out my video for my mods. still plan on switching over to a whipple soon but saving cash is tough...

Yeah I had to. I laugh when someone posts they have an auto, then someone says they need a driver mod. Funny part is the brick would be faster due to the decrease in weight. Lol.
My last stang was an Auto that I built up. For a dedicated drag strip car an auto is perfect but for a street car I like the third peddle. I am more involved.
That said I am 100% sure my car would be faster with a built auto in it.
