My JBA cat4ward shorty headers just came today in the mail. I got them for $440 shipped and dynos show around a 20 ftlb increase to the wheels across the rpm range.

get a before and after dyno to compare. 20 #/ft tq would impress me.

i would recommend kooks LT's, ARH, Mac LT's, or BBK LT's

I dont have the money to run on the dyno twice, but I have a G-Tech accelerometer and I know how to datalog with my X-cal II. I am going to do a hp/torque plot with the G-Tech before and after, and also datalog my acceleration on the X-Cal II to get some solid numbers. Even the bbk's pick up 18 ftlbs of torque down low and their design leaves a lot to be desired performance wise.

I have a friend that went with Mac Long tubes and couldn't be happier with them, I went with BBK long tubes and they sound great and it feels like they added a good bit along with the catted x-pipe. As i'm sure someone besides myself will say exhaust all comes down to what you like and what you're looking for.

depends on what your after Damoose08. Different headers have tradeoffs. You want all out performance? LTS for sure. You want elevated exhaust lvl but not too loud and emissions friendly? Shortys.

Foolio is giving you good advise. Also what are you ultimately after? Sound or performance? Do you have emissions to worry about? Do you plan on going forced induction? If you plan on staying stock, headers aren't going to add a whole lot to your overall horsepower. If you go forced induction are you going supercharger or turbo? If you go turbo dont even bother. Consider this line of thinking... Once you go forced induction there is NO GOING BACK.

Good article: http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec..._products.html

I would certainly say that an average 20 hp is pretty respectable as per the article... this is of course dependent on what brand you go with. Kooks, although expensive, seems like the best. MAC and AR would be the next best. When I get the cash, I'll be going with Kooks myself.

From what i've read Kooks and Mac's LT's are very tune friendly partially because of the O2 sencor location. I ordered MAC'S LT's and X-pipe with O2 extention wires and Kooks Gasket with PYpes High flow MINI cat (and they are mini) came to just above $950 shipped from Brenspeed, I inspected them and I have to they look nice, quality welds and a very clean look. Now I just have to install them and get the CAI and tuner
