Default Battery relocation + CAI?

So I'm considering purchasing the battery relocation kit from steeda. ( http://www.steeda.com/products/batte...cation_kit.php )
It seems like a pretty good idea to get some more weight in the back. My first quick question, Is this mod track legal?

But second; I heard that by moving the battery to the rear, there is enough room to add a second CAI to replace where the battery once was.
Would this produce any noticeable HP/torque gains? And if it does, would it be too complicated to do? I figure I would have to buy a new elbow that would T off instead. Make a few fudges to install the intake on the other side, and buy a new tune.

It would look pretty awesome, but is it worth the time/effort/money?

A second CAI... why? The battery is no where close to the TB... I am confused with that idea...

Yeah, do you have a full blown race car? I don't really see the need to relocate the battery unless you are desperate for underhood space, the S197 already has a decent amount of unused space, IMHO

Well, I have to say it was more of a hearsay thing. I heard it was possible, and that some people have been able to do it with extensive modding. But I spent some more time researching it, and it seems like an impractical idea at best. So I'm gonna forget it entirely.

But back to the subject of a battery relocation kit - Not worth the money? Steeda makes it sound so useful with the talk of adding 60 pounds to the rear wheel and taking weight away from the front.
I'm at that point in my modding career where I now have all the essentials (like CAI + tune, exhaust, gears, and enough suspension mods to have relatively minimal wheel hop with my 4.10 gears) and am looking for any performance modifications that might be useful and worth the money.

Thanks for the input.

Oh, and I really don't wan to make any exterior mods. I feel like having that "stock look" makes the occasional ricer feel bad when they get beat. :P

It's crossed my mind but more for the purpose of all weather driving, might save me having to use so many sand tubes next winter.

Yeah, it would be interesting to hear if it makes any difference for the rear wheels grabbing traction - especially in rain and such..

$229 for a battery relocation kit, that's nuts.

Yea, for a vented (yes it needs to be vented outside the passenger compartment) battery box and a few feet of battery cable, $229 is kinda steep for something that simple to do without a $229 'kit'.
The battery is already mid mounted instead of hanging out over the front
tires. Moving it 6 feet back cant be worth $229.

Plus I don't see how the battery and relocation kit can weigh 60 lbs, if you want more weight out back just put a couple of logs back there !!! Or have some fat chick sit in the passenger side rear seat !!! LOL Vendors will come up with anything to sell products, like I said this is a full race car mod, IMHO.
