Default Exhuast question

Ok I'm pretty sure about getting some borla stingers for my ride. My only question is that I'm looking at the exhaust itself or the option of getting a catback. My question is, what's the difference between the two except the price? Is there any noticeable difference if I just go with the exhaust, or is it worth it to get the catback?

Any feedback would be appreciated. Also, if you have borla stingers can you share how you like them?

Thanks.

Good question one that I've asked myself a few times, I would assume the mid pipes of the cat back will be Mandrel bent for optimal flow and a few extra horses but what about clearance over the panhard bar and floor boards it's pretty tight already, can anybody answer that?

As I understand it, there's no benefit to getting the catback over the axleback. The OE pipes flow well and you won't get ANY gains over stock other than additional sound (that also means that either one, the axleback or catback, won't gain you any additional RWHP).

I love the sound of my Stingers. Deeper and a bit louder than stock at idle and a beautiful roar anywhere above 1/2-2/3 WOT. There IS some drone between 1500 and 1800 RPM but I rarely cruise in that range. If it bothers me (which it usually doesn't) I just shift to an adjacent gear.

+1
The sound is perfect, not too loud except when you want it to be, you won't notice any hp gains but the sound alone is worth every penny.

That's what I'm looking for actually, something that's not too loud but can be. Think I'm just gonna go with the exhaust and forgo the catback.

Thanks for the input fellas.

Axle back is the way to go. For sound. Don't expect any HP gain.
