Default removing rubber from side of the bumper

mods if this dosent go here feel free to move.

what do you guys use to remove the rubber from the side of the bumper after a burnout? i have been scrubing for over 30 minutes and the stuff just dont want to come out.some of the big chunks came out but theres still alot in there.

Get some Bug and Tar remover from your local car shop. Put it on your finger, apply to each spot and then rub off with a fairly clean towel. The towel will need washing afterwards.

To prevent it, tape your fenders before doing burnouts.

Yeah, that blue tape that painters use is great. Lowes or Home Depot, in the painting section.

I have used WD-40 for stubborn stuff.

if your getting rubber from the track, i would spray wd40 in the pits prior to racing, the wd40 will make itr really easy to wash off at the car wash

A coating of vaseline prior to racing also facilitates rubber removal afterwards.

Goo gone is very safe on paint, although Goof off isn't so safe so make sure you know what you are buying.

k thanks im gonna try first the bug remover and if that dosent work ill go with goo gone.

I've used the Goo gone and the other. Both seemed to work just fine.

None of the products damage the paint that I know of. I didn't like using Pam (spray oil), WD40 or anything like that as it was messy. Look at my signature and you will see what I'm talking about.
