Default Decision Time

what up everyone, tommy, here, new to the forum, I have quite a decision to make and wanted some advice, I can have a 2005 white mustang premium GT now or I can order a 2006 mustang premium GT that the dealership says will here in 6 months, I am leaning towards the 2006 because I want it in tungston grey and the interior upgraded package, what would you guys do? I have already put in a deposit on the 06, but I can get the white GT right now, as long as the dealership still has it, by the way its Friday now, and I'll be surprised if the white GT isn't sold by this weekend, Tommy

If it was me I would wait.

1) I will never own another white car, I hate em, still to this day I think it was harder to look clean (read as "white") than any black car I've owned
2) If that wasn't one of the colors you wanted I would not settle for it, you might really regret it
3) Like you, I wanted certain options, and it is worth it to get the car you really want
4) If the prices are about the same you would be better of with an 06

If white was one of the colors you really like, and the options aren't a big deal then I would say go for the 05, but if it was me I would wait

I tend to go along with dajohu... if you want the white one, get it. If not, wait for the tungsten. I turned down a half-dozen other Mustang GTs while waiting for mine... they weren't exactly what I wanted.

Buyer's remorse can be a terrible thing (especially in the $30K range).

Same here - I wouldn't take less than what I want to get it now, but if it's all the same I'd go for it.

Hi

Im in exactly the same situation, i have a 2006 tungsten, red leather, IUP on order. Im no 2 on my dealers list for 2006's and they can only say sometime between sept and dec.

If you can live with the white id take it, never know when that 2006 is going to arrive

You don't sound impressed with the white, so why take it? I had two white cars (including my first, a 79 Mustang), and I will never own another white car again. They're about the same work as black to keep clean, but clean black looks so much better!

Now, if you're impatient, that I understand. Call around to lots of other dealers. There seem to be more and more GTs arriving these days.

You waited this long, you might as well wait some more.

I've had a lime, satin silver, black, mineral grey GT's offered since I ordered my 06. If I didn't order already I would of taken the grey or silver one probably, but I ordered the tungsten with the 18's so I just figured I wait. Plus, I'm buying mods and saving up for a fatter down payment

Depends where in the country you are

In chicagoland area there are zero GT's around and any that are in dealers are $3000 - $10000 above sticker
