Exclamation Spark Plug Question.

I ordered some Champion one piece plugs and received them about a month ago. I am going to have the dealer pull my plugs and replace them with these due to our spark plug issue.

My question is this. I got really sick and have not been able to do this yet.
The plugs have been in the box they were shipped in for a month now.

I recently also ordered stripes for my car and I am going to have to have them installed BEFORE I get the spark plugs put in.

How long can I leave these plugs in the box they came in before I install them? Will they still be good if I leave them in the box for another month or two? Or will it cause something to happen to them where they wont work?

Sorry if this question sounds stupid but I need to know.

Thanks!

Their shelf life is basically unlimited, they don't "go bad". I bought 40-year old NOS Autolite plugs for my 1967 390GT Mustang and they looked and ran perfect.

You can leave 'em on the shelf until jesus returns. Unless they're in a highly corrosive environment, they'll be as good as new.

Your first mistake was buying champion plugs in the first place...great for a lawnmower, not so good for your stang...

Your second was thinking they could ever go 'bad' not using them.

Nice response.
How about posting something useful instead of trying to be a smart ***?

If you don't like champions, post WHY and WHAT you would suggest on a one piece spark plug or a fix for the breakage problem we are having with them.
If you think keeping them on shelf for a while would hurt them... tell why.

If you are being sarcastic... screw off.

If indeed he is knowledgeable, he sure didn't show it with his flippant reply to a legitimate question. If he has real (not anecdotal) evidence that Champion plugs are inferior, then he should post it. Otherwise he should keep his unfounded opinions to himself.

OLD school thought. CHampion probably makes the best OEM replacement at this point next to Brisk.

I've heard both good and bad about every plug manufacturer. So that makes me think they're all fine.

I bought some Autolite HT1s myself and will be installing them this weekend. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

I have the new Champions. They have been over a year and I couldn't be happier.
