Default Best Engine Oil Choice While Supercharged?

Should I use a Full Synthetic or stick with the Ford Motorcraft Synthetic Blend that I have been using?

If a Full Synthetic is recommended what brand?

Amsoil

Castrol

Mobile 1

Pennzoil

Royal Purple

Quaker State

Valvoline

I use Mobil 1 now and will after my supercharger is installed. I think you would also be fine with that Motrocraft.

I would use any quality synthetic or synthetic blend like MC in 5W-30 after I put a blower on the car.

bobistheoilguy.com is where you need to look. also, dont buy into the hype that is Royal Purple. Had nothing but problems with it. Then again I have had great experiences with amsoil which some people dont like. It all comes down to use a good synthetic that you have had luck with.

Best place to read the latest information on oils. I also agree on RP. I first bought it a few years ago and put it in my old 2002 Z28. Made the engine sound like a sewing machine. I drained it after about 100 miles and moved to the German Castrol 0W-30 and the noise went away. I have used the German Castrol ever since but they don't make a 0w-20 so I have been using the US made Castrol fully synthetic 0w-20 in my Mustang.

I was worried that the 0W-30 would be too thick for the 4.6 even with the SC. Do a lot of you SC guys run the 0W or 5W-30?

+2 for bobistheoilguy.com, in the defense RP I have been running it in my car for some time now and it runs great. Like RainsFather said "It all comes down to use a good synthetic that you have had luck with." Op try different things and find what works for you.
