I need to locate two wires, a wire that connects to the oil pump and the wire that goes to the engine side, whatever that means

i am putting in a vehicle tracking system in my mustang, i will be able to shutdown my engine and cut the oil by my phone. and in the manual it says locate the fuel pump control circuit and connect the the wiring to the engine side and the oil pump wire.

Stupid question: Why on Earth would you want to cut OIL? Wouldn't that be really really really bad?

+1. That is a really dumb kill, theoretically if your oil pressure gauge reads 0 it will kill the fuel pump that's the way it's designed to work, however it rarely ever does so I'ld look for another way to cut power.

I'd have to agree...say that your car's computer DOESN'T cut the fuel; if someone steals your car it's for a joyride usually, and no oil means they lock your motor up. Oh, they're not going far, but your engine is toast and you'd better hope you have good insurance to replace that. I'd rather have the fuel or power shut-off, though the phone call thing is cool. Still, you'd have to KNOW it's gone, heh.
