Hmm very interesting info hard to figure out the numbers tho both my 95 and 00 gt's net between 9 and 14 rwhp going from the stock h to an o/r X.... I think more than half the benifit of the o/r x is the weight reduction. Did u change your tune when u went from stock to the o/r pipe? I don't have emissions were I live so I can't justify spending that kind of money for some thing with cats. Plus cats and race fuel are not the best of friends so they are out the window as far as I'm concerned. I'm just interested in cleaning up the sound I'm going to pick up a set of 3" resonators and weld them in on the mid pipe and se what happens. I plan on doing a befor and after vid to show the result

thanks again 4 all the help guys

Wait, you're in Maryland, and don't have emissions? Please explain!

[QUOTE=Avalanch3;6583210]Well without changing the O/R X, get better mufflers. The FRPP GTA's or GTB's would eliminate the buzz for the most part.

I use an O/R X-Pipe with the FRPP GTA style muffler and cant wait to find a set of stingers to get rid of the Raspy not exiting my tailpipes ... Just my opinion .

There is no performance benefit of having no cats.

Actually there is a High End HP gain... but you lose a little backpressure hence you may lose a little bit *VERY LITTLE* of torque... But the High end gain is worth it... You are gaining unrestricted airflow gain... and what does MORE AIR give you? MORE AIR=MORE POWER...

Allow me to elaborate: Of the dozens of tunes I was a part of in my performance auto work, never once have I seen an increase attributable to catalytic converter removal alone. Not an opinion. Fact. Don't believe the hype.

I should include that I'm talking specifically about the S197 GT. That Spanish Oak is a finicky beast.
